Heal / Toe question?

Keep em coming guys and gals! Lots of good input here. What it really boils down to is, I need practive. The toe on the brake and heal on the gas "seems" more logical to me but I've just got to find the leg position that makes it work.

i actually have the easiest time doing this barefoot. if i'm barefoot i can do the actual "heel/toe". if i'm wearing shoes i end up pressing the brake with the left side of my foot and gas with the right. it definitely doesnt feel as natural to me and it isnt as smooth.
