I have not done them to my "S" but I did have them put on my Toyota Tundra . there is a place local in San Antonio that did a great after market job and in fact they have a two position switch for heat so they are better than the factory ones. I think the cost was around $350 installed on both front seats in the Tundra. I'm thinking about doing the same thing on the "S". Even in the summer I use them because of a low back problem. Nice for the ride home after a round of golf. You will not regret the addition. Jack

autoleathers.com has the seat heaters if you want to do it yourself. I thought about it, but it never really gets cold enough in georgia. I decided to get them releathered with suede down the middle. It keeps you warm in the winter and it never gets hot in the summer, plus it grips you in like you wouldn't believe.

I remember seeing (I don't remember where) seat heaters that were seat covers with a cigarette lighter plug. Saves the time and hassle of installing seat heaters if you're not looking for something permanent. I'll see if I can find where I saw them.

Cyclon....please post pics of your seats! I am planning on doing this to my car, red, with silver suede in the center, and I would love to see how it looks!!! BTW, did you use the original leather, or get all new leather alsO? How much damage ($$$)?

Thanks

I've been lazy about getting a digital camera and shooting my car. So far I only have what others have taken and the seats are new so I don't have any shots yet. I think the kit runs around $600 from Katzkins. Autoleathers.com is the official online retailer. Leatherseats.com also does ths.

To answer your question, it's all new leather. The stock leather comes off and you replace it with the new stuff. There are nice install pics here: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=225609

At first the new leather is kinda loose and wrinkles in some spaces, but a few drives out in the hot summer sun and it shrinks right up. I still have a few wrinkles left, but they're going away slowly.
