I just blip and shift, without looking at the tach at all. And generally match up good. Certainly good enough not to upset car balance.

I usually practice by taking off from light to light. Full acceleration then hard on the brakes for the next red light, blipping all the way down. This way everyone else on the road thinks I'm a complete idiot . But it allows me to brake hard without someone rear ending me.

It was REALLY easy when I had 4.77 gears.

Now with my comptech flywheel (9lbs) it's a bit harder (have to do it faster) but I'm still pretty good at it. I guess if I'm tached up pretty high already I just blip, and if I'm lower in the rev range I'll apply a bit more pressure.

Hey guys, I found it's really strange that I could match the rev perfectly a lot of the time, but then there were times where I would over rev and jerk like hell Do you look at the speedometer or tachometer when you do heel-toe or just by feel. What are your tips on this?

Jason
Purely by feel. In situations where you need to heal/toe, you are really too busy to be looking at the instruments.
