I have ordered MANY things from Rick's in the past year. As long as you are willing to wait, you WILL get a top quality product at the end. Patience is the key.

Rick alerted me of this post and I will chime in here, I will try and explain honestly and bluntly. I make these caps in small quantities because frankly I wanted one and no one made tham and for me to have one I had to fork over several thousand dollars for tooling and set-up costs and until I sell around 70 of these bad boys I won't break even I have gone through 28 which was my initial order and am waiting on my second batch and yours was one of the last ones in my original inventory, I responded to your e-mail last night and didn't even know about this thread until tonight when I got home from work and read an e-mail sent from Rick himself! I appreciate your patience and hope you are happy with the cap when you receive it!
Rick and Company have been very patient with me so please don't take it out on them - They send me the orders and I fill them as soon as I can get to them.
So I officialy appologize for the delays but the caps usually take four weeks or more to process sometimes longer depending what I have on my plate at the time! I do all the trimming and assembling on my parts by hand - I wish I had deep pockets to keep these parts on the shelf but unfortunatly I do not! you have every right to be upset I wouldn't want to wait either ! Regardless your part is on it's way!

just my opinion - but all of these problems could be avoided if Rick posted the lead/wait times on his website if they as a company know that they cannot fill orders when they are received (and especially billed to the CC).

That way you would order the part and know you had a long wait ahead - but at least you did it in the knowledge of how long it would be.

However, its obvious why this will never happen because if he did that, he wouldnt get half the orders he does, because people simply dont want to wait.

As someone mentioned, communication IS the key, and so is information - more so before the transaction that afterwards.

Maybe anyone considering purchasing should pm/email BEFORE they enter the credit card number to get an ETA on the product.
