Hi guys I was driving my car this morning and shifted to second gear heard a loud pop and bam i have no second gear. I can be rolling down the road at any mph and rpm and put it into second gear without the clutch or any grinds. Any advice??!

Your clutch sounds fine considering you can put it in first with good pedal feel and can actually drive your car. So you can rev match and shift into gear without the clutch but not with the clutch?? Please explain more...what does "have no second" mean if you can shift into second?

 

Yeh, when in second (stick position), does it just rev like in neutral?

 

Exactly. 2nd is like a double neutral to me right now. A friend on a local forum says my second gear set could possibly be torn off and is doing nothing but throwing broke gear debris in my tranny around. I will be taking it off soon to find out. Thanks again.
