If you can't wait for the Plexus, look up motorcycle dealers in your area. Ask them if they carry it. It costs more from my local motorcycle dealer.

Does anyone know how plexus compares to the blue magic line of plastic cleaner/polish?

I know the blue magic can be rough to get off if you let it sit too long. And it also stains the soft top (though it eventually came out) But if you apply it to the inside of the rear window the fumes about choke you and its very difficult to wipe off with the angle you have to be in to wipe the rear window...

bguernsey,

I only have experience with the Plesux cleaner, but from your description, Plexus is much easier to work with.

Mavic is right. Try alternative vehicle parts stores. I have also found Plexus at local boat stores.

I got Plexus from an even odder source, a local company that makes signs for store fronts, shop windows and such (light boxes, plastic signs, streamers). They use Plexus on all plastic stuff the put together, clear and colored.

An alternative to Plexus is a line of products made by Nexus (Cleaner, Polishing Compound, and Scratch Remover). Read Plastics in Rockville, MD carries all of their products. Their number is 301-881-7900.

Boats and airplanes have lots of transparent plastic materials. Check at the marine supplier or the general aviation fixed-base operator for cleaners, including Plexus. The marine product I bought does a great job on my window, but would mess up the black convertible canvas if slopped upon it (which I did immediately upon popping open the bottle the first time -- now I stand back and point it the opposite direction!). I have had excellent results from applying it one or two times a year.

I found both Plexus and McGuiar's plastic cleaner and polish at my local Marine supplier.
