Its normal. I can feel heat escaping through the E-brake mount after a while, but it is nothing to worry about.

Yeah, just enjoy it as the closest thing the S will ever have to heated seats.

As far as I know, it should be a combination of the transmission and drive shaft being right there in the center console.

The transmission if further up, near where you knees are, so that's why that bit get's warm, and everything back from there is drive shaft, which is why those bits get warm. There's also an exhaust under all that which doesn't help matters. But a lot of cars I've driven has the same 'characteristic'. And, unless it's BURNING hot, there's nothing to worry about. It's a little annoying tho because my sodas get all warm.

Keeps your coffee warm

Mine doesn't really get that warm at all, even after track runs.

lol.

since we are on the topic of heat, and also seen that you have a grill. Does that cause the engine area to be warmer too?

I have grille-tech speed holes style grill. And it seems like air cannot flow it as smooth as compared to maybe like a mesh grill. My temp doesn't go up or anything, but i was curious if this is bad...
