Back on topic:
While it happened in Toronto and not in Florida, I received a noise ticket, or what they refer to as "improper muffler." No amount of arguing that it was an appropriate replacement for the stock system did anything for my position. All I could do was install a resonator to "prove" I'd rectified the problem and the ticket was nullified. I think the easiest is to swap your OEM exhaust back on and prove you've corrected the problem and request that the ticket be canceled as a result of your positive response.
If you really believe your exhaust is within the dec. limit, then attempt to get a report of this and carry it with you in the event you're stopped in the future and hopefully the ticketing officer will give you a break before you have to take it further again.
Good luck!
so he gave you a ticket w/ a fine?
I got one here in NM a month or so ago for my invidia. It was a fix it ticket. Basically the cop told me that anything other than OEM is illegal. Well.....that cant be true because if you go to a muffler shop, you can guarentee they do not put a ford/chevy/honda etc brand muffler on the car as a replacement.
If you got a fine and there are decibel levels involved and he did not take a reading or even a picture, I'd say it would be pretty hard for him to prove it in court.
It depends on how much you are willing to fight this however realize that when this is through and if you still have the invidia on there......be prepared for another ticket.
I ended up just taking mine off and actually enjoy the lower profile.
good luck

Yes I read the posts that followed, but this one even offended me. Please avoid these kind of comments unless you have some appropriate story to soften it a little. Seriously.

These types of things do exist. Stop pretending like it doesn't.
From another point of view, would you walk up to a black person on the street and say "hey, I bet you get a lot of tickets/get arrested a lot." See what kind of response you get.
It's not appropriate in real life and I don't think it is here either.I'm just saying please try to have a little more tact so other people don't have to ask you to. Thanks.
I think the Invidia exhaust is rediculously loud on the S2000 and the drone is eardrum deafening in the cabin. Did you not expect it to attract attention? Why are there always so many for sale? It's no coincidence. I've never heard of a Harley motorcycle owner getting a ticket and they have the loudest pipes in the world! But that's the way it is out there. Good luck finding a solution. My vote...... = Get rid of the Invidia, it's not good for your hearing anyways.
