Default HELP!!! Got some questions

Hi my car has been making a clicking noise whenever i put it in reverse.Has anyone experienced this problem and if so what is it? Also the car feels really loose. By this i mean the rear end, especially when i go over bumps or at high speeds. Can this be because of the so 2s being worn or is there something wrong with my suspension. Tires have 11000 miles on them. Any help would be appreciated

Thanx.

Is it a recurring click as you backup or just one click? If it is just one, then it is normal and it's the rear brake sticking. If its a recurring clock, then it might be the CV.

If the road or bump is uneven, the rear will drift a little. That is how RWD cars are.

11k on the tires? You're probably about due for new ones. Be careful.

Recently Consumer Reports had a really interesting report on tires which showed that tires lose wet weather grip long before the wear bars show up. Exposed wear bars mean "Change those tires last month, not next month!" At 11,000 miles, I'd be surprised if your SO-2 tires aren't long past replacement time. Replace them now and see if the handling is any better.

See if the tires have normal pressure and equal pressure. The car will definitely handle poorly if one of the rears has improper air pressure.

I don't know if any of that would relate to the clicking while in reverse.

"HELP!!! Got some questions" sure was not a very helpful subject line. You might have gotten a more intelligent response from a more experienced owner than me if you had given some idea of what kind of help you needed. If it were me with the problem I would have posted: "Help... Clicks in reverse & loose rear at speed."
