I went to Grand Honda last year and was subjected to one of the best executed examples of power selling that I have ever come across. I'm in sales myself, so I can really appreciate the art (of course it also means that I am very unlikely to succumb to it; it actually pisses me off to no end). The sales guy struck me as an untrustworthy weasel, and I left as quickly as I got there.

I did use their ad to negotiate a virtual price match from my local dealer, though...

The S2000 is a LEV (low emissions vehicle - says it right on my window sticker) it is legal in all 50 states. That guy is full of shit.

Happily paid 31K for an '02 in MA and had it shipped to CA for another 1K. Saved at least 4K and a half a day of haggling with bastard CA Honda Salesmen.

Easiest part of the transaction was the DMV inspection, actually.

Thanks for those links. Thanks especially for that second one with the links. That was great. I "discovered" Honda of Joliet, who promptly set me up with an awesome and HONEST deal for their last 2002 s2000. It is coming in around Sept. 15 and i'm going to pick it up and drive it back.

I'm so excited about it right now! I'll be sure to take pictures of my return trip and give a full report of my experience with the dealer. So far, they are a real cut above!
