i had this problem for a while...
thought i would make it better by putting on a spugen dual oval exhaust-
now all i wanna do is hear the great sounds of that exhaust, and they sure sound better at high rpms!!!

As a mid age driver (42) here in metro NY, here are some comments I have re: speed:
- when used as a daily commuter (90+ / day) I leave quickly (faster than necessary) then slow down the closer I get to wherever....till I'm practically idling into work...(more time in car)
- Speed is factored w/ weather and top down status...a nice day lends itself to cruising, top down w/ wind noise makes you more aware of speed - restraint is still required however
- Not using the car for commuting and waiting days to drive (rain this spring / summer awful) only makes me drive HARD when I can when I see those three bars...looking for excuses to run errands
- Pick my spots for brief blasts - short bursts holding 2nd/ 3rd is fun, especially next to a barrier, or through an underpass, or on a quiet 3 lane stretch satisfies the urge
- Be careful what music you play - Radar love, highway star, La Woman...some songs just get me introuble....
- Finally, ignore those Civics, WRX's etc...it's not worth it.

the s2000 makes your feel you're going slower than you really are, hondas makes a solid car which can be good and bad .
like sometimes i think im going 35 and i look down its 60!

Just today, I was out for a cruise on some country roads with nothing but farm land on either side. I easily hit 100mph in 55mph.
Places I would never speed are:
School zones
Residential areas
Villages where there are pedestrians
Oh, and I do use Valentine 1 radar detector.
