Help: A Lesson on Ignition Timing and Air/Fuel Ratios
Hey guys in the know, could you please share with us your knowledge or any useful links about Ignition Timing and Air/Fuel Ratios.
I'm sure it would benefit those who wish to dwell into tuning issues for the car!
Cheers!

well here is what i can tell you:
the most efficeint A/F ratio is 14.7:1 ( 14.7 lbs of air for every one lb of fuel)
And ignition timming is generally as follows,
advancing the timming will allow for more power, but if you go to far you will allow for pinging or detonation (read: BAD)
im not sure what your looking for but i can tell you this, with out a PROM reprogram there is no way to chang the pulse width of the injectors in which is the only way to change the A/F ratio
Dave(the 20 yr old know it all)
