I love the way vtec sounds when you have an intake. An intake is not in my future yet, financial reasons, but I have heard people taking off the top part of their air filter. I'm not looking for any gains from this, but will it make the vtec sound louder? I know that box is basically a noise supressor. Will I lose power or is this dangerous for the engine??? Thanks in advance. Counting down the miles.

 

There'll be more noise but marginally reduced HP. Do a search, this is been covered before.
