what about j's racing intake, mugen or spoon
heard stories that j's racing is the best but abit pricey..

^^^i would never pay that much for one of those intakes, I think u can get pretty much the same performance from the K&n for much cheaper.

The K&N does most of the performance job, but I hate how ugly it is. If you don't care about looks, go for the K&N.

i dont think its that bad, definitley better than aem' & injen, that leaves a big empty space in the engine compartment

I just think the K&N looks like some sort of "do it yourself" project that went horribly wrong

But yeah, I don't like the AEM either.. I'm getting rid of mine in favour of the stock airbox and an AUT induction panel.

is it possible to just wash the intake foam and re oil or do we have to use their "cleaner" and then oil it down? can we just wash it off with water?

You can wash the Comptech (UNI) foam filter with any grease cutting agent such as dishsoap or Simple Green. I used Simple Green and it worked just fine. You will need to use their filter oil though.
