. Then I could have worked my juju... ok maybe not. To those who are saying she may not have maintained the car properly. I'm pretty sure she did. I asked about service records, and she said she had most of them. She also said she gets the oil changed around 2500 mile intervals. The car is a lease.... erhh "Honda Leadership Program" vehicle, so the dealership makes her come in and have routine service performed. So $24k sounds about right then? That's what I was figuring on. What about the tranny vibration on coast down? Should that be something to be concerned about? Thanks for the replies.

my car growls whenever i let off the gas. no prob
haven't had to deal with the clutch tsb
good luck with the purchase. whatever, whenever. and how ever
That's what I figured with the seat since she said it never happened before, and I had to slide the seat back to get comfy. One notch forward wouldn't be a problem though. This vibration at coast down was more than a growl, the whole car resonated pretty loudly. It was a strong vibration.

Personally, I think you can do a little better on the price, there are a lot of people out there selling their S2000s, probably because they only intended to keep the car for 1-2 years in the first place. It's a fun car but it's not for everyone, only the diehard enthusiasts. Don't settle for the first one you come across, you may find a 2001 for just a bit more which may be a better value. On the other hand, if a MY2000 is still selling in the $25,000 range 3 years later then the depriciation is very low and quite favorable for us owners.
