Not a bad thing to get a valve adjustment, but more importantly, while the mech is in there, the retainers can be inspected...
I'd hate for a new owner of a used car to have to deal with the ultimate consequences of a mechanical overrev by the previous owner.
It's cheap and easy to check now.
