To make a long story short. I was going around a curve and I started to fish tail.....as I counter steered(is that a word?lol) I ran up and SLAMED a curb that is about 6-7" high. I got an quote from my body shop for 3600.00 in damage........yea........anyway I want a set of 19" black wheels....and I have about an1800 budget b/c the factory wheels are 435 for front two each....and 465 for the rear each. So instead of buying factory wheels I called wheelmax.com to order....and this guy tells me that the off set is different and he doesnt' carry a wheel that will fit......I may be 20 but not stupid. wheelmax carries at least 15 brands of wheels and I have seen s2000s with aftermarket wheels on so what do I do...? Is this guy right? or what? I am highly confused and I refuse to buy factory wheels............please help anyone.............THANKS

he is prob right... go to the tirerack tire & wheel forum (on this board) for more info. there are only a limited number of wheels that will fit our car without rubbing.

 

I would recommend 17's for the s2000.

I have seen a couple options out there with good offsets (I could be off a mm or so):

Volk CE28N
17x7.5 +50mm
17x9 +63mm

ASA FR1's
17x8 +50mm
17x9 +63mm

225/45/17 and 255/40/17 are good sized tires to go with.

Stock offsets are +55mm front, and +65mm rear.
Don't buy wheels that have offsets in the +40's. Your wheels will stick out of the fender.

Here is a pick of arnelr21's 19in Black IForged wheels, the pics were not working for me earlier but at least you can see them in his sig if the pics don't load, I agree with Unicorn, I would go with 17s, IMO they are the best size due to the fact they look awesome and they perform well, 16s probably perform better but don't look as good, 18s look better but don't perform as good, and 19s look huge and perform the worst.
