Help please. 5 questions/shopping.
- With snow tires, how does the S2000 perform in the winter?
- What are yourthoughts on additional rust-proofing? I know most people say it's a waste of money but here in the Buffalo NY they pour tons of salt on our roads.
-After a couple test drives I was really happy with the seal around the top. There was no wind noise. How does this seal hold up over time? Do you get wind noise through the seals on the top at speeds over 50?
- I never had a chance to drive the car with the top down (too cold). How would you rate the wind turbulents compared to other convertibles?
- Would you say $30,500 is a good price? I was hoping for $30,000.
Thanks for the feedback!

With snow tires, the S works great in winter. Look here:

Several of us here use this car as a daily driver all winter.
If rust-proofing will help you sleep better, then get it. I'm not so sure it'll do much more that the already good factory rust proofing. I didn't get it on mine and it's 3.5 year old - no rust problems, but we don't use quite as much salt as in other cities.
Wind noise varies from one car to another and from one person's perspective to another's. I get a wee bit of a whistle at speed but it's never bothered me but I've heard it can drive some people absolutely nuts.
Can't answer the other two questions. This is my first true convertible and I didn't like the turbulence so I did every mod I could think of and it's now quite tolerable. I don't know if that's a good price for you. You should get a price quote from Hardtopguy or from this forum's store.
