Hi,

I just picked up my car about 1 month ago, got about 1800 miles on it. I noticed two little problems and was wondering if anyone else experienced the same thing.

1. Rattling sound (kindda like an old truck) near the front of the car when idling. It's specially noticeable when the car is cold.

2. Rattling sound on the passenger side speaker when there's heavy bass. Sounds like the speaker is broken.

Is this normal? Sound I take it to the dealer? The reason why I ask you guys first is because these are the "when its in the dealer, it's fine" kind of problem...

I get a little noise from mine as well when it's cold,not sure if I'd say it sounds like an old truck,but there is just a hint of some type of rattle.

 

My car makes a cold rattle too. It usually only lasts for a couple minutes. Woodwork (A Honda Representative) chimes in often to give helpful information to owners. I have posted about this problem before and according to Woodwork the noise is caused by "piston slap" and is quite common in Honda engines and is considered normal.

Damn.. this whole time I thought the sound was from my Injen CAI hitting against my STB. Was trying like a million different things to get rid of the sound. Glad I read this post...
