If you're planning on persuing any legal action, I'd remove that information.

post the name and phone number of the GM at the dealership.

i will call him on my free time to chat with him about how unethical his business practice is.

i'm sure if a lot of s2ki members called him daily...and he got calls everyday from different people from different parts of the country...he will succumb.

He did post the name and phone number of the GM, but after someone's suggestion about not posting that info in the pursuit of legal actions he edited the post.

It isn't hard to find the information online. The name of the dealership has been posted

I don't see what good it is going to do to hassle the dealership, but I am curious to see what happens if you guys keep knocking on the door.

Yeah as long as he doesn't post it directly, there can be no real direct correlation between a harassment suit and his name.

In my previous experience, people banding together and e-mailing/calling the dealership really helps. I was getting the run around for 2 weeks about the dealership needing to buy my car back since they sold me a lemon. The day after everyone started to e-mail and call them, the GM called me and said they were ready to work out a deal.

That would be really cool if this turns out that way

I do think that since the GM is now expecting legal action he may be more inclined to fight now - or at least let things be handled by the dealership's lawyers.

Holy crap... the logic behind car dealerships is freakin' insane!
Not all dealerships are the same.

Yes some are unethical and don't honor an agreement as in this case (from what I have read).

The Dealership I work for would bend over backwards to make our customers happy. Close to 85% of my customers come back to ME for another car, I must be doing something right.

This whole story IMHO is very sad for both the buyer and seller.

A simular thing happen to me one time back in 1998. Another sales person sold a car on my day off that I had already sold. My customer was having a hard time getting financed (low credit score) on this car, so it sat around for a little while.

The car was resold the day before we finally obtained financing (by another salesperson who thought the car was not going anywhere). However we bent over backwards to find the same car and also gave my customer a discount to help offset the extra waiting time.

So Please don't throw us all in the same basket or Lake.

Thanks: Derf

Bud, have you even contacted a lawyer about this, or are you just going to let it slide?
