I've looked at the older posts but would like to know if anyone with a 2002 model has a ticking sound that seems to be coming from the area over the driver side window/drivers left shoulder? You can only hear the sound when the top is up and the car is moving. I think the sound can be heard when you hit a bit of a bumpy road. I am guessing the hinge. It's the only problem with my car after 2800 kilometers.

What you may be hearing could be the top latch on the driver's side window frame. These latches have proven to be troublesome enough to warrant a TSB (technical service bulletin) from Honda. The noise can be deceiving, and can sound like it originates from behind. Honda replaces the striker plates with improved striker plates from the hardtop.

You might also try lifting you seatbelt off of the leather over your left shoulder, just in front of the seatbelt guide, to see if the contact between the belt and the leather is the sound you are hearing.
