Default HELP: TSB #054 / Portland, OR

All:

If I don't get the TSB #054 done to my '01 S2000, will it damage the car? When decelerating I do here the buzzing noise but I can live with it. I'm afraid to bring my car into the Honda dealership.

If I have to bring it in, can anyone tell me a good Honda dealer and contact person in the Portland, OR area?

Thanks for the help.

Sorry to hear that so many owners are afraid to have their local dealers work on their cars. I just had the TSB 054 done on mine, and they did a great job. I was expecting just a new disc, however they also replaced the pressure plate (they said it had a little uneven wear), did a four wheel alignment, and changed the oil. All of this cost me $30.00. Concord Honda in the S.F. bay area is the dealer.

From what I've read on this forum, if you don't get it done the noise can get very bad. The uneven wear I had is most likely from the defective original disc. Mine is much better since I had it done. I never had much noise, but the clutch wasn't very smooth when engaging. I bought my car used with 7000k miles and took it in at 9000k. Anyway, good luck.

I had it doen on my second 2001 S2000 at dick Hannah. Still had the buzz noise after it was done. But I tracked it at PIR 2 times and never had any problems with it.

I know how you feel. I would like to get my clutch fixed also in Portland.

Take it to Tonkin, Lamphere or Thomason, I think all would screw it up!

Has anyone had the clutch fixed in Portland with good results

Could someone please describe this buzzing noise to me. I feel that I may have this problem too, but I am not sure how to tell.
Thanks,
-Brandon
