Default The Noise is BACK!!!

Less than a month ago I had the clutch TSB done and all was great until the other day I'm riding along and all of a sudden as I deaccel through 4000rpm's, the ringing starts again...the car is shifting better than ever but now the noise is back and I'm PO'd...I talked to the dealer and they said to bring it in when the regional service guy is in and let him drive the car.

Has anyone else had a reoccurrence of the problem with the new parts or I just lucky? HELP!!!!!

well of course its back . . . hehehehe

Didnt they tell you? its supposed to make funny noises, hah.

Really though, you wouldnt happen to know the part number of you clutch disc? There have been
about 5 versions of it made by Honda, you may need to go with an aftermarket disc with a better
hub.

I got about 4000 miles on their latest one and didnt notice any major noise return. But I have a louder
exhaust Thats the real fix!!

I was at my dealer today talking to my service guy and he knows about this problem.

He also mentioned that he has done several and the noise still come back. He say that honda is still

trying to figure out how to fix it...since i have about 27k miles on...he told me to bring mine in around

32 or 33k and he'll see if there is something new out to fix it.....

Reason i didn't fix it earlier is because i want to make sure there were positive post on the fix before i bring

mine in.....i'll wait till almost the end of my warranty for a new clutch i hope...

hallerma,

Wat did they tell u that they replaced...??

They replaced the clutch disk with part # 22200-PCX-055 w/a reference to Disk, Friction 685512

They showed me 3 different disks for the S2000 and used the most recent issue but it certainly sounds like Honda still has a problem.

The good news is now the top will be down most of the time and you don't hear it...Good luck with yours

I just had mine replaced and don't have any problems.....yet. The shift is superior to the original! No more slipping clutch.
