I've heard of clutches buzzing which seems to be what you're referring to. I'm sure other people will chime in. The soft top definitely rattles, the solution is to get some shin-etsu grease and rub it on the rubber parts of the top, and to either put a piece of cardboard where the top meets the windshield (in the crevice) or to wrap the hook with electrical tape, which should cut down on rattling.

I'm not sure what the other sound is.

rattling from the top or the latch is common. i do some stuff now and then to get rid of it but its only temporary. very annoying when driving with top up

that clicking noise - i know EXACTLY what you are talking about. sounds like a little spark (like in portable butane stove), and happens at 2-5 second frequencies, right?

i have no idea what it is..but it does happen

How sensitive are you? The S2000 is a noisy car. Find another local owner and let them drive your car, or give them a ride. Try your local forum.

Hmm im not that sensitive. Well the rattle of the soft top doesn't really bug me. I just wanted to know if that was normal or not. same with the other couple of things. Just wanted to make sure nothing was wrong with the car.

Make sure the screws in the latch are tight, and grease the latches and seals if necessary as mentioned in the manual.
