Default Helppp.... Buying 2003 S2000

Ok,

I have talked to about 6 different dealer's in Georgia where I live, and none of the sales rep's are willing to work with me on the phone. I asked several different people what was the price there willing to work with and all of them said MSRP or 34,000 ++.
I hear people on here saying that some of them payed as low as 32,000? How can I do that, if I pay 34,000 it better come with every option. Because I wan't mine to have the rear spoiler and the front lip, side strakes, etc.. What do I do, what should I do.

Also, they said that the 2003s and being slowed down to stopped until spring? Is that true? And that the Spa Yellow Pearl's and one of the hardest color's to come by.

Thanks for your time,

Cassidy

Two classic lines that dealers ALWAYS feed people.

What exactly do you mean by "being slowed down to stopped until Spring?"

Also, you can do the research for yourself on production but I believe Grand Prix White and Suzuka Blue are the two rarest. I could be very wrong though.

And don't forget to look here.

A bunch of people have had a good experience dealing with Honda of Joliet over the internet. Look here for the post by michaelr on 1/5/03. They offered $500 over invoice.

They have 2 new 2002 Yellows for 28,500ish. This is without even negotiating.

This guy is in your area (as am I, but I bought my car used off of e-bay).

Research! those dealers are most likely full of it.

The sales guys might will tell you what they told me, that their invoice is ~31K. First, that's not true. Second, even if it were true, dealers sell cars under invoice all the time. I bargained mine down to 30,200 in 20 minutes so you can definitely reach that if not better. Print out those Chicago ads and use them for leverage. If your leasing, also print out Hondacars.com's lease calculator results. That calculator's rates are the lowest possible lease rates honda can, but not always, give.

Cassidy,

I bought my MY02 at Hennesey Honda in Woodstock in December. Ask for Darren.
