How did you come up with this? It sounds like you determined tread width with your OEM tires on the car -- whereas most tire specs are probably measuring tread width to no-load on the tires (other than a rim). So you might not be comparing apples to apples!

It's not a true apples-to-apples comparison but it should be close enough to be realistic in expectations...
