Default Hey, Lets Modify the seats for Comfort!!

I've always wanted an extra 1/2-1" width in between those side bolsters. I got to thinkin that with the space so tight between the center tunnel and the door, where are you going to slide anyway on hi G manuevers.
So, what about taking some of the stuffing out of the bolsters.
Has anyone experimented with this yet and have anything to share before I look more into this?

A good upholstery shop will reshape the seat to your liking.

You must have a heftier butt than me! When you remove the side bolster padding please send it my way. I could use a bit more support on the track.

I agree with ya 100%. They're not snug enough for me.

I've found that the only thing I need to do to make the seats fit perfectly is remove my wallet from my rear pocket.. make sure that I tell my passengers the same thing..

First of all I'm not trying to be offensive or anything, but if it were me, I would try to modify myself to fit the seats better. That way you would have a win-win situation.

I wish I was that thin. but even after years of lifting weights and mtn biking i can't shrink it down to when I was 25.

Ahh well, if you stop all the working out it won't be long before your seat has all the padding it needs.

Rossmon, I had a little trouble with the support from stock seats. During autoX I was sliding all over the interior. I used to keep myself pinned into the seat by stomping on the dead pedal during corners. Now I notice less fatigue after a track day. My solution was to upgrade the entire seat to a Recaro SPG. While the seat I chose may not suit your needs, I would recommend looking in to aftermarket options to improve the seated experience. Especially if you have lumbar issues. It is definately one of the best changes I have made.
