HID alignment problem after front-end repair

Maybe the photos of my beam aren't doing justice, but it's definitely not nitpicking. I found the following on the internet... the beam pattern in these pics are normal for the S2000. Some are modded a bit, but doesn't affect my point. Notice the super sharp cutoff line, even at the farthest areas from the center, and they still sit on top of each other at the ends. Not only that, the beams in these pics are straight lines. In my beams, the further away from the center, the more the driver/pass beams diverge away, creating blurriness. Also, my beams project a frown curve, not a straight line.
There is definitely a difference, no doubt about that. The night before the hit, driving in the passing lane on the highway, the beams projected a super sharp cutoff against the concrete median to my left. Like a blowtorch or hot knife into butter. The night after the repair work, it is just a big blur against the concrete median, because both beams can't sit on top of each other. My beams can only sit on top of each other in the center, then they diverge and frown.

Does anyone know what this is all about?

I have the same problem.
Look at this website:

It looks like to adjust the frown/smile you have to tilt the cut-off shield forward or backward. It is described towards the bottom of the page.
I am not sure how easy it is to disassemble the head light. Any insight into how to make this adjustment would be appreciated.

Maybe the bulbs aren't sitting correctly. I'll try to re-set the bulbs and see if that makes any difference.
