Best of luck to you.
Thanks I will check on that and keep an update. I hope it's something that simple and I REALLY hope my mounting socket isn't melted.

I don't see anything wrong there. Not that I'm an expert on headlights. But the first pic is obviously snapped further away from the wall than the second pic. If you roll closer to the wall, I think you'll find it looks more like the second pic.

You could run it by an Official Brake and Lamp Inspection station in your area though to check it is in compliance with legal requirements on such things.

You need to check the cut-off at a proper distance from the wall, it gets sharper the closer you get to the wall. You can adjust the headlights if they are out of spec, measured at 25 feet away from a wall. There are adjusters on the fixtures for aiming purposes. The service manual has a headlight adjustment section, with measurement specs.

Definitely an HID capsule unseated. Make sure your notches on the base of the capsule are aligned properly. There is no reason to have ANY flares like that over the cut-off point unless you are parked in front of a water puddle and I don't see any water puddles... There's something else wrong with that beam pattern but I can't put my finger on it.

I took a photo of a closer shot and the right flare is still there.

Thanks for that Brake and Lamp link. If at the end I can't figure this out, I will check them out.

I've tried adjusting the knob and the flare is still present. I may think it is the bulb misaligned, hopefully. Will check this weekend.
