But then again us volkswagen guys (me) are pretty fussy when it comes to flashy shit. Clean and simple wins the race in my mind.

Just did mine, and it looks hot! Everyone who says you can barely see with 8000k are retarded.

Man, if you think that looks hot, think how much hotter your car would be with some windshield washer LEDs, spinner hub caps, and a few NOS stickers!!! You would have to be retarded not to want these mods!!!

As a matter of fact I already have all the mods you have mentioned. Your right on partner.
I guarantee the people who are making fun of the 8k HID's are also the ones who have not driven or tried it on their cars....
I hate ricer mods but the 8k bulbs are perfect IMO, and does not affect the lighting enough to be unsafe or anything of that matter....

all i know about lighting is that super bright sh*t pisses me off. i got blinded for a good 3 minutes the other day by some GTi that had aftermarket HID bulbs like blue spotlights aimed 5 ft off the ground.
I'd say 6000k is just about the max I'd go.
And don't say I haven't tried em.
I had 6000k, 8000k, and even drove one of my buddy's car w/ 12000k.
I'm telling you, in bad weather, you DO (this is a fact, don't try to argue with it, saying you can see fine) LOSE visibility.
My buddy learned it the hard way.
It's your car, you can do whatever you want to do to it, but seriously,
this is a friendly advice, guys.
Please, think twice before you ruin your visibility.
