What would a cop think if he asked u to open ur hood only to find that you have a cover over most of you engine that is held in place with an assortment of torx, square, and hex bolts? hm....

 

it would have to be vented to allow the heat to escape and it would help to have air direction from the radiator fans, and maybe up the power on the fans...so who's going to make one?

 

I'm thinking ahead to my future turbo kit...and what would happen if I got pulled over with it.

 

why would they look under your hood? only inspection people are going to do that. only cops that I know that look under anything was about ten years ago - looking under mustang's to see if they had cats cause it was a big problem in houston - and if no cats - automatic impoundment and $2300 ticket - no joke, I've witnessed this on more than one occassion.

So does anyone seriously know what a cop would do? I mean, would he tow the car? Say F* it and leave me alone? [seems too good to be true]

 

most cops wot bother unless your car is obnoxiously loud or is smoking or something. there are so many mods that people do these daus that just b/c its a turbo shouldnt attract any more attention than say the SC kit. Worst case i think they may write up a fixit.

As for the plactic cover...it'll just look like these new cars with the stupid covers in the engines..sound nice, but you'll need to make sur it can stay cool under there.
