Well my friends Lexus definitely gives you a different feel. The S just doesn't seem to lack power to me though.

I will drive a Mustang GT again soon and compare.

Thank you for your reply. I have no torque problems though. Why does everyone talk about the lack of torque? I know my mods help a little but I think the S moves nicely at moderate RPM.
The S lacks torque when compared to the HP it puts out, and other cars that put out similiar 0 to 60 and 1/4 mile numbers. Naturally if you never owned a car with 250+ feet of torque, and have owned all 4 cylinder N/A cars or Hondas, it's fine. I can say this though. My Speed 6 has so much torque, that it just takes off with the simple press of the gas pedal, and feels so much faster then my S, even though they are actually neck and neck performance wise. The max power on that car is at 6krpms, whereas the S2K just begins it's true power. Night and day cars in every way, but I get the best of both worlds. I admit, I would like my S2K to have that low end as well as the high end, but we can't have out cake and eat it too, unless you buy a Vette.

Still though, the AP2 has the extra noticable torque to make lower rpm driving very respectable. Great torque curve, and plenty for normal driving. I don't look at the lack of torque as a negative thing though. I see it as a challenge to go fast in, that takes skill. Anyone with little driving skills can hop in a car like my Speed 6, and go fast. The S2K, you gotta earn that speed, but at the same time, the lack of torque is why it is capable of really good gas mileage, so there's a positive.

holy crap 4k @ 70mph in 6th gear? i thought my 240sx was high @ 3k around 70. i would prob. drive no faster than 60 cause it'll feel like i'm overworking the motor.

my dad's TL on the other hand is at like <2k @ 70 lol.
