same old story the lady was not paying attention and smacked into me while I was stopped.

The damage is very minor but those of you who know me I tend to be a bit anal when it comes to my machine.

The rear bumper has a slight dent in the shape of half her liscence plate frame. She promised payment in cash once I get the estimate..... Well should I get it repaired(new bumper) or keep the cash and get HKS exhaust?

Help me decide.

Get it repaired.
If you are anything like me, and I think you probably are, you will always know the damage is there, no matter how small.
It will bug the heck out of you, so get it back to tip top shape and enjoy the car fully again.

Get the new bumper cover and get it painted! I'm like you, and I wouldn't be able to look at the car without cringing if I didn't fix it.

I can point you in the direction of a brand new bumper cover at a good price if you're interested.

go through the insurance company, and let the insurance company collect the money from her. a promise to pay isn't worth anything, especially from a stranger.

That's stinks, Charlie.

Those things always eventually happen, anyway. I'd get it fixed.

The exact same thing happened to me last week. Only the fascia was damaged, and that was quite a whack. I was so happy there was no sheet metal damage. I went thru her insurance, and went for a new bumper fascia, to be painted. The body shop in Scottsdale, which has a pretty good reputation, is doing it for $750 total.

I'm surprised with the responses. I will get the bumper replaced. Sondra who is your contact? Anyway I tried to take a pic but having a black car the photo just didnt come out, thats how little the dent is..... but its there and I will notice it every time I walk by the car so off to the body shop she goes.

As far as collecting money from the lady I'm not worried she owns a real estate company in town her word should be good, anyway I know where to find her.

If it wasnt 70 degrees today here in Jersey on Dec. 1st it would have been packed away for winter.
