You've just made a perfect shift and you didn't even know it, you bastard!

Don't worry, you didn't hit the rev limiter. Like everybody else said, you would have felt it. It's like the feeling when you down shift at high speed and let the clutch out right the way, the nose of the car would dive, and your neck would snapped!!!

Assuming that your car still in its very first year, after a hard drive, the oil drop a lot(one X or two). I have no idea about oil leak, 'cause I, too, can see a dry path of oil down from where short block and long block meet, can't figure out where it's from.

The shift warning light is an awesome piece of equipment to add. I heard that the new version you can set it in 3 stages(I guess?), so you can set it to beep at VTEC point first, and then at 8k, and then at 9k or whatever you want to with out looking down the techo. But don't forget to look in your rear view often, though, those (blue)lights also unmistakable too!!!

Enjoy driving!

There are three beeps and the a solid tone on Modify's shift beeper. I have minbe set for 8300, 8500, 8700 and the solid tone comes on at 8900.

In first gear, you have to shift as soon as you hear the first beep, the others come VERY fast

Cool! Sometimes I guess it is better to be lucky than good. Thanks for all the responses. I'm definitely going to look at getting one of those shift beepers. BTW, about how much is one X on the stick equal to?

The shift beeper is one of the best Mods I have done. As already said, It allows you to keep you eyes on the road. A light is only as good as it's position to your field of vission. This mod is also reasonably priced. Thanks to Modifry.

Well I messed around and forgot about ordering the shift beeper. Today I was accelerating and hit the rev limiter in first. It felt like I had pulled my foot off of the gas and then slammed it back down. I shifted right away. This can't really be good on the engine, but I hope that what most people say about it not hurting anything is true. It's the only time I've done this in the first 2000 miles. I've decided that the S2000 engine is just too smooth and I need help. So, I just got done ordering the shift beeper. This will be the first modification that I've done on any car (not counting wheels or stereos).
