Well, it finally happened. Hit and run.

It happened while I was in Wal-Mart. I was only gone for about 15 Min.

Insurance here in SC will cover it under "Un-insured Motorist" coverage. It will cost me a $200 deductible.

The only damage to the passenger fender is the mounting bolts underneath. They are slightly bent, but other than that, the whole fender is in good shape. I'm lucky I guess.

It just makes me sick!

Paul

Sorry to hear about that. It sucks that you get a wrecked car and you weren't even in it. I know how that feels because I've been there. Wal-Mart is a bad place for nice cars.

That sucks. In a public place, someone had to have seen something.

I saw a lady in a Dodge Caravan back into a 7-series BMW HARD in downtown Palo Alto. There had to have been over $500 in damage, because one of the HID assemblies was crushed. I wrote down her plate number and put a note on the BMW. I would have loved to see the expression on her face when the cops showed up at her door for a hit and run w/ witnesses.

bbsilver, that's awesome! One time someone backed into my POS old Lincoln, left a note, and since it didn't mean anything to me or my parents, they were like just let it go. I sure hope no one does that to my S. Harvey, I don't even have my car and I can feel your pain.

Old story:

Some lame-ass driver backs into a car in a parking lot. Other people see it. The driver stops, gets out a pen and paper and writes a note and puts it on the windshield. The witnesses smile and drive off.

Contents of the note:

"Sorry I hit your car. There were witnesses and they're watching me write this note. Too bad for you that I'm not going to leave my name and address."
