In cases like these (HIT & RUN), do you have to pay the deductible for your insurance???

SilverSurfer - all I gotta say is, its great that you were honest about the 79 bucks, even though it took a lot of legwork to get it fixed. There are too many scammers out there that ask for unreasonable amounts of reimbursement for their losses.

Sorry to hear these stories.
What is it with people!?
I agree. Let's hope this isn't a trend.

Out of curiousity, and maybe so we can learn from it, how did the front get dinged? Did you back in, or someone in front of you not have a cement curb and came in too far?
Hope your baby looks 100% again soon.
I was parked in the middle of nowhere, no cars around, no shopping carts around (the same people leave them strewn throughout the parking lot), and it appears that I was clipped on the front bumper from the side. It looks like the car was maybe beside me or perpindicular to me and caught a small spot close to the top edge of the bumper around the tire well edge.

I'll try to get a closer picture.

In SC, we have optional "un-insured motorist coverage". Which covers exactly what it says. In my case, since it was a hit and run, according to my policy, the incident falls under this coverage.

I'm glad to, because it's only a $200 deductible, instead of a $250. Only $50 bucks but still.

I'll post a scan of the body shop quote tonight.

$1100!
