So S2000tuner were you able to bolt up the HKS exhaust right out of the box. I'm courious if this will fit the '06 without modification.

Thats great to hear S2000tuner - I've got a couple extra ?'s,

1. Is there only one kind of HKS exhaust? I believe you said you bought the HKS "HiPower" exhaust so I'm assuming that this is the only one available.

2. Could you (and any others who might have this setup) comment on the exhaust note at or near rpms. As far as stock cars goes, I've always liked the Germans for exhaust tone - cars such as the 3.2TT and the Boxster have a nice metallic rasp and deep growl to them, and I'm wondern how this HKS exhaust compares.

3. Do you feel any power benefit/drops from your "butt" dyno?

with Breden. I would have bought the HKS one but heard it decreases HP. So instead I just purchased a Spugen single. Extreme HP gains. I'm lovin it.
I didn't know that 8whp was extreme?!? I could have saved myself a lot of money. The only reason I see to buy an exhaust for a NA car is for sound, and HKS wins that IMO. Here is a very old clip of my car that I link to almost every HKS thread so I can turn more people into believers.

i'll be making a few trips from toronto to ny and new england to visit a few accomplices at school, how is the exhaust on the highway, specifically long trips? and i'm assuming all the hks hi-power exhausts are now full stainless steel right?!

Hey, on the highway over 3500rpm at around 65-70mph the exhaust sounds quiet like stock when you are just cruising, but if you accellerate/decel you will definitely hear it, but there is no drone with cruising. The only RPM that it drones at is at 3,000 rpm, but I am never that low when I cruise on the highway so it was great for my car when I use to have it. As far as the piping goes, it is NOT all stainless steel. The cans are stainless, but the piping is not. It is just coated piping, not sure exactly what they coat it with (paint?). Overall, I loved the exhaust though.

i watched the hell outta that vid when you first posted it. IIRC there are two versions of the HKS, the non-stainless and the all stainless.

Well, I know for a fact that the older hyper version was NOT all stainless steel, and I had the newer hi-power version and that was also NOT all stainless steel. Is there another that I have never seen?
