I can attest that the HKS Hipower with a test pipe sounds mean ( deep and throaty). I don't know about losing about one or two HP but with the test pipe it offsets any loses. In fact, I can feel my midrange pulling a little harder with the test pipe installed. The HKS exhaust is about 10-15 lbs lighter than the stock exhaust.
