- Heavy. 45lb. I believe.
- No HP gain.
- Poor material for its price. Not stainless leads to rusting over time.
- Poor workmanship/welding. There have been numerous reports of holes developing at the welds after about one year of use.
- Quite loud, but some people do like it.
To sum it up, HKS is one of the very worst exhaust you can buy for S2000. A downgrade from stock exhaust.
Try the search function and you'll find plenty feedbacks on the HKS exhaust."
"The sound is very loud so don't get it if you're into classical music. I've had to sound-proof my cockpit and add a 4 channel amp to improve (barely) my sound system."
some people say the HKS is just as loud as stock and some say it's loud. what's your opinion?

Yes, no hp gain.
Mine served me fine for last 1 1/2 years. No problem at all.
Loud? I don't think it is loud at all compare to other aftermarket exhausts.
I think HKS is one of the best sounding exhaust for S and thats why many people own it, and your summery of it is the very mis leading.
went on a cruise yesterday w/ a bunch of s2k's
one had a hks and one had an invidia
hands down IMO, HKS is a country mile better than invidia. When the guy didn't rip it, it sounded dead silent
when he did rip it, the rumble was nice and deep

Have to throw in a note about how even though the hi-power is stainless, it isn't really the best quality stainless. I've seen rust spots on the hks before.
That said, it's still a great exhaust for looks and sound.
