I know it must be like 1000th testimonial on HKS, but
i had to say something too.
Well, what can i say!
It sounds so damn good!
but drone is much more than i expected. I heard HKS has no drone, and i'm just imagining if this is no drone then what invidia would be like?

It just has pretty good drone at lower rpm (under 3500) and it makes me impossible to cruise at 65mph with 6th gear on cuz of drone in the cabin, but all the drones go away if i keep the rpm high.

But sound is definately nice, growl feeling is awesome. I would hope all the lower rpm range drone to go away when i intall tp.

If anyone wants anything that is lil more sportier than stock, then go for HKS
Just to be clear, did you get the HKS Hi-Power Dual?

I've had mine for about 3K miles. Is it a common occurrence for the tone of the exhaust to lose some of it's "bassiness" and get higher pitched as it ages? "Hockey" had mentioned that it gets deeper and deeper with time. Mine seems to have become more of a high pitched sound. If anything, I've lost some of the deep tone I was used to when it was brand new.

Yeah, I typically hear deeper from the owners......not higher.

i love the sound of my HKS, but now, i feel that it isnt loud enough.. i guess that's probably due to the fact that for the 3 weeks i did not drive my S, i was busy installing exhausts+high flow cats on my friend's RX8, 2.5RS, and EVO IX

Does hks make a single at all? I have heard reference to it in another thread, but can't find it on any site. I'm thinking the poster may have made a mistake and just looked at the pic (which would have been for some random car) and didn't read that the s2k version is a dual.

Would the test pipe cause the car to fail smog checks?

Without a doubt. The good thing is that you can change it out in about 20 minutes.
