Holy Smokes! 2003 Accord Sighting!
ITR--
I looked at the steering wheel briefly--it was my confirmation that the coupe was a Honda because I could make out the embossed "H" underneath the electrical tape in the middle of the wheel... I think the wheel was a 3-spoker, like the S2Ks. Sporty. The coupe seemed a great overall package.
The sedan was still butt ugly, though.

Oh ITR--I see, you work for Honda! Hehe, mostly why I went back into the bar to look for the Honda driver dudes was to ask them how I can get a job doing that--road tripping test mules around making sure they work okay. Sounds like an exotic lifestyle! Do you know if they have engineers doing that? Without getting into specifics that might get you in trouble, can you talk about that subject? Does Honda send around fleets of cars to different areas of the country to see how they handle real-world conditions?

"Yeah i think so. im not totally sure but i think i was reading about it in C&D. it said something about how itll be in competition with the new 350Z or something and it mentioned 240 hp, so.........................i dunno."
It's getting 240 hp to compete with the new Altima, not the 350Z. It would be cool if Honda gave the S2000 290 hp to compete with the Z though. But with the Z's excessive weight compared to the S2k, that may not be neccessary. Hey ITR, do you think you could get me a job as the guy who tests new NSX's on a track after they are made?

Very cool! They should just use Rick's S badges as camouflage
I am pretty psyched to hear about a long overdue manual transmission for the Accord V-6. I hope it also means that the TL-S will be getting one too...I figured the CL-S getting it was a pretty good sign.

The coupe looks awesome and a 6 speed stick should smoke the altima. The 4 door does look strange but i did notice they taped over the back lights. Perhaps it will look better once we see a PR shot.

Rumors - 2004 could be the last production year.
