Where are you going to tie the power connection into?

Also, it looks like there's four wires. Are there two separate power connections (two positive and two negative connections)?

Another reason for loving this site! I am very interested in the HomeLink system for my S2000. My wife's '01 Accord had HomeLink but we could'nt use the HomeLink and a standard garage door opener. So, she never used the HomeLink and instead used the standard remote.

Now, in the new Pilot, she has the HomeLink system again, but I still have to use the standard remote. Looks like this project is the next for me!

I bet that 90% (if not more) of all S2000's are garaged and perhaps 50% (if not more) are 2nd cars for folks. Does it not make sense to have the HomeLink system in the S2000? Must be a Japanese built/American/Canadian built issue.

Huh? does your garage have rolling codes? If it does, you have to press a button on the garage door opener(not the remote).

This is what I did for a garage door opener... It's been working great and it's got great distance. But it doesn't support rolling codes with out a mod to the garage door opener.

You should not put it on a switched source unless you plan to retrain the unit a lot. The unit should have constant power. I had wired it differently to a switched source and lost the codes all the time, meaning it never worked.

Map light section is the best to get power. It is close. There is a grounding screw/wire and a power wire. Make sure you use the grounding screw, not a wire to ground as it may not provide a positive ground unless the door is open.
