IMHO the car looks better with the tape in place. I remember back when I had a Miata an article on how you could paint the windshield trim on the Miata black instead of body color. This was to make the windshield less visible. I like the S2000 that way.

How much of a hassle is it to wax the windshield frame after removing the tape. I wouldn't want to get near the top seals and window rubber. On my old Miata this was a pretty tight space to wax and I spent more time removing Zymol from the rubber than polishing.
