From my underatanding it has VGS. A Variable steering system. I have heard that the Type V dont perform as well as the regular S2k

I asked my friend about this (he's a Japanese). He told me that the S2K type VGS has a different steering ratio, which is much quicker. The concept is to make the S2K drives like a single-seat sports car.

Thanks, didn't see that thread. There is a link in there that explains it all in English:

Honda offers a DVD Navigation System from the factory? What about people in the US?

Personally, I like the VGS system better.

Nice steering wheel, and I dig that shade of blue too.

Can I just get the Steering Wheel for my car?

The thing that sucks about the VGS Steering wheel is, we can't get them!!!! I already did plenty of research to get the VGS wheel, but apparently Honda doesn't want fake VGS S2000's roaming around, so the teeth on the VGS wheel is different than a regular Honda S2000 wheel.

I've been drooling at the VGS steering wheel myself -- too bad it won't fit. Below a couple of pictures taken of an S2000 Type V in Honda's showroom in Tokyo just two days ago. The wheel looks really nice, so does the factory installed navigation system.

Nice place -- a must if you're in the neighborhood. They also had the new and updated NSX -- since I can't afford it anyway, it's probably a good thing that I won't fit (I'm 6'2").
