HAHAHAHHAHA this thread is getting hilarious. TT I4 with 500 hp out of the box with a 4 year 50k mile bumper to bumper warranty. Sounds like a deal. As for the I6 vs V6 issue, the argument can go both ways. There has been some amazing I6 motors in the past, but V6 seems to be the latest trend. More space saving than the I6, and with technology to back it up, today's V6s can do some damage indeed. No doubt tho from an engineering standpoint, I6 is a better design....but there are other things to put into factor these days with such a competitive automotive market, they gotta make their money somehow and make the cars cost efficient.

I like it, it's got a hint of the current SLK, but even fatter/chunkier.

I'm guessing that the hood line is higher up to maximize the hollow space between the top of the engine and the hood, in case a pedestrian's head were to strike the car?

A 2.5L I4 making 300hp with a sky high redline and having the most rigid roadster body would be perfect.

well it's early for a final design still! that render is pretty decent tho, it'd be wicked if the car would look similar. im sure honda will add their usual twist to it. not to mention the car will be 'handled" by the Jap offices, not Europe or in Cali....so it will be unique.

also, yeah it will be 2 motor options...a 4banger and V6, and rwd + new diff which will be sweet. hrmm, i would think still a 6spd as well....prob no 'mini NSX dsg' in this thing...would cost to much. hopefuly it aint to 'fluffy' a roadster and still has an edge. i wish honda had options kinda like what lotus does...ie. "track pack" or "old man pack" heh...etc. etc.

To me, the current S2000 is one of the most gorgeous vehicles in the entire world. I don't see what the point is of creating new styling for a remarkably attractive car like the S2K. I think if anything, Honda should just modify the engine to give the next gen S2K more torque, which is something the current S2000s lack.

I wish Honda would put together a nice turbo setup. It would be un-Honda, but if the engineers got to work on the thermal issues, a 2.5L I4 TT could make 400-500hp and make a small car an absolute rocket.

It would be neat if they did something like that to make a 4 cylinder TT 500bhp NSX replacement! Oh well; they don't take suggestions.
Not only is that a really dumb idea, the average person would most likely not be able to afford the car at all. The Honda S2000 is already quick enough for most people to handle. A TT in an S2000 would most likely raise the price range waaaaaaay past what any of us would want to pay. I'm thinking the price would increase toward Viper or ZR1 range.

This thing is going to be FWD, what's more it's not going to have anything to do with the s2k. I wish the op would change the title already.

"This thing" is a speculative S3000 rendering by Road & Track. It is NOT the OSM concept that Honda showed a little while ago. No title change required.
