I have always been disappointed with the lousy and un-hear-able stereo Honda gave us.

This past month I replaced the speakers and installed a mdx amp, the sound is incredible with the top up or down I can finally hear my music.

Here is were Honda knew more about the stereo than we did.

I can no longer hear the sweet music 9000 rpm gives me. I am thinking of removing the system.

 

I have read a lot of threads/comments on the stereo. It is really annoying when driving at highway speeds for me. But, as you mention, I listen to the engine instead. I sure miss those sounds when I don't drive it for a few days, and soon, for a few months!

 

I am looking forward to changing the speakers also. Trying to find someone in Hawaii who has worked on an S2K before.

Your point is good though, I'll make sure to turn it down when I am revving
