Default Honda warranty any good after a vtech controller?

The way the honda warranty was explained to me is that if the failure of the car can be blamed in part or in whole on the aftermarket equipment, then its no dice. Basically, your screwed unless you can prove without a question that it wasn't your fault. Yes or no??

vtech controller??? is that for my cordless phone base system at home? now, the vtec controller, on the other hand will probably void it if you leave it connected when you bring it in to service. But i heard it doesn't do that much.
