It's worth it if you've experienced bogging. Do the gasket and thermostat at the same time, gasket takes around 4 hours, doing the t'stat only adds a half hour to that job since the intake manifold is already out.

The gasket is the single hardest thing I've done on the car, and I've done the clutch, the suspension 19 times, etc etc. I will never do one again!

That said, I haven't driven the car, so I don't know how much difference it makes, yet.

After about 4 installs it still send twinges down my spine

ok, car is out of shop.
First impression with the 3 cooling mods (hondata, thermostat & fan switch), car runs cooler. For the 04, I was seeing 6-7 temp bars during a 40mi drive home. If I remember correctly, 8 bars is normal for the 04.
Heat bog was nonexistant, however today is pretty cold outside, 60s F.

I was wondering if these mods increase the time it takes for the car to fully warm up. I often need to use VTEC shortly after starting the car.

"Operating" temps for an S2000 is around 190 - 195 degrees. With those mods, unless you are working the car hard, it may never get up to operating temps. If you have a street driven car, it may not be beneficial to have a "cooler" running car most of the time. Just because it's a good set of mods for a track car, doesn't make these good mods for a street car.

^ You will immediately notice the difference with those.

I had Marcucci install the same three a little over a year ago and it's the one thing, aside from the x-brace, I've done to the car that I would do again without hesitation. Helps with bogging tremendously.
Todd did my install as well (but I drove from VA... I think I won the long distance award :lo: ) Anyway, I could immediately tell a difference. This is one of the best mods. It doesn't inc hp, but eliminated heat bogg. I'm with 606... do the T-stat at the same time.
