can you dl maps onto the ecu?

Like in a nav unit? No. I don't believe it has that kind of memory nor does it have that kind of capacity.

Yes and No. Hondata can download the maps, you can not. Hondata is using the factory ECU and they "Flash" or Upload new maps. That is what you are paying them to do for you.

Oh, those kinds of "maps". The OP was asking about GPS navigation earlier today.

o icic thanks for the info. a sti friend told me the ecu they offer for their cars can dl maps like valet mode, economy mode and etc. i was wondering if hondata offers that.

sounds like the cobb access port. With that you pay for the unit and maps are free. with hondata you pay for the map and there is no unit
