Default Hood Question...

I'm asking because I just bought a MY06 in April and one of the times I was washing my car, I looked at the front edge of the hood. Now when I close the hood, there isn't a smooth transition from the hood to the front bumper of the car... meaning that when you run your hand down the hood onto the front bumper, it dips down a little bit from like midpoint to the left headlight. The other front half is aligned perfectly.

I was wondering if some are like that or if they are all perfectly aligned. Cause if they are all perfectly aligned, that has to mean that the car was in an accident from the dealer. The car had 36 miles on the clock when I drove it off the lot.

Or it could just mean that the hood was not perfectly adjusted at the factory. Take it back and have them adjust it or do it yourself. There are rubber bumpers that hold the hood at certain levels. Adjust those and the latch assembly to make it fit right.

Nah ... don't think it's an accident. Bumpers don't always line up 100%.

I haven't checked my car, but if this car has those black rubber studs, then just twist the stud on the side that's not aligned properly.

Don't worry too much man ... even Mercedes don't always line up their panels properly

Along with adjusting the black bumpers, you may need to adjust the hood latch also.
